I am not limiting myself to women that are "unwanted" disabled or handicapped. I made the title of my post as such because generally women don't want me. I figure that at least the women I describe in my posting title might want me. I have received all sorts of unusual responses from people when posting this in the past. Some of the response have been that I must be horribly lonely or horribly desperate. The fact that I am willing to accept a woman with limitations or physical characteristics that others reject does not mean that I am desperate, it means that I am willing to accommodate someone else's limitations and I am not superficial when it comes to physical characteristics. I am alone but not lonely. I have plenty of friends. I am not desperate. Another response is that I am amazingly honest. Why not be honest? Surely the truth comes out eventually anyway. Read my post, part of it or all of it if you like. I put plenty of bad and plenty of good in my open and honest approach to describing myself. It's all there so you don't have to exchange 20 emails to finally find out if we are good for each other or bad for each other. I have tried a shorter post and the first thing women say when they respond is "tell me more about yourself."

I look perfectly healthy but I have a partial disability. No one I meet would ever know unless I told them. I have plenty of friends that have no clue that anything is wrong with me. I also have friends that are convinced there is nothing wrong with me even after I tell them. I have a chronic illness (fibromyalgia / chronic fatigue syndrome) that complicates my life some but cannot be passed to another person. Not all of us with this illness have an equal status of health or distress. It varies from individual to individual. You cannot put us all into one group. If you are unfamiliar with these illnesses please understand that you cannot believe everything you hear or read or see on TV commercials selling Lyrica. Also, there are many health care providers and "new-agers" that love to criticize people that have this illness. Contrary to their strong-held predictions I do not let the illness iidentify me and I do not dwell on the illness. I do speak of the illness in this post because it does shape my life and my activities and it affects my partner. The illness causes me to have pain and fatigue also. The pain I have is not likely to affect my partner but the fatigue may make me slow to get going or keep going. I am generally slow to get going in the morning. The last lady I dated was also disabled and complained that I would not be ready to do anything until noon after waking up at 9 or 10 am. On most days once I get started I am very productive until it is time to go to sleep. However, sometimes I might have an entire day of fatigue that interferes with my ability to do things. It is all variable. Some days I have more pain or more fatigue.

There is more to my post but this is very important... Please help me sort your mail from the loads of spam and responses from prostitutes that I will receive as a result of posting on Craigslist by placing the words "Also looking" in the subject line of your reply. Please tell me about yourself and be sure to say something relevant to my post so I know you are real rather than a computer generated response to my post. Short, generic replies are what the spammers and prostitutes do and so I will automatically delete short, generic responses. Please don't be offended but if you respond I will immediately ask you to confirm that you are not a prostitute or looking for someone just because you want them to help pay your bills. I am sorry I have to do that but when I tried posting before I found that prostitutes and women looking for a man's wallet to improve their lives senselessly wasted their time and mine by responding to my post.

I have been alone for many years. I can see that I might easily spend the rest of my life alone. This is unacceptable for me. I am determined to find a lady rather than spend the rest of my life alone. I guess I have to keep trying and trying to find a lady. There must be a woman out there for me regardless of how unappealing I might be for the women I have already encountered. They say there is someone for everyone, beautiful for handsome, unattractive for unattractive, etc, etc. I have tried various dating websites. I am not ugly. I think many women don't want me when they see me because I am slender or skinny. I don't approach a lot of women or have a lot of opportunities to meet women. I don't hang out in bars. Where am I going to meet someone? I thought maybe this straightforward approach to finding a lady might get better results than the bad luck I have had so far.

I am generally an optimistic, positive person. I like to laugh and make others laugh. I have a happy personality. I know that some people lash out at and attack others when they do not feel well. I am not that kind of person. When I don't feel well I become quiet and withdrawn. The worse I feel, the more quiet and withdrawn I become.

My illness presents a challenge in part because I am sensitive or allergic to a variety of chemicals including perfumes,air fresheners, gasoline vapors, auto exhaust, pesticides, nail polish, hair spray and hand sanitizers. These things don't kill me or send me rushing to the hospital but they cause various problems for me and make my life unpleasant. I once kissed a lady on a first date and her lip gloss burned my lips. Many women find it impossible to imagine life without things like perfume, air fresheners, scented laundry detergent, scented dish soap, etc. I live a fragrance-free life and find it easy to do. I use a laundry detergent that is free of perfumes and dyes. On my hair and body I use dish soap that is free of perfumes and dyes. I wash dishes with the same dish soap.

I don't have any objection to being with a woman that practices a religion but I have found that they often object to my non religious choice. I don't practice any religion and don't plan on starting. I cannot be in the same room where cigarettes have been or are smoked. I can't say that I find it appealing to kiss someone that tastes like an ashtray. A smoker is probably not a good match for me. Someone that uses alcohol to the extent that they are compromising their health or safety is not a good match for me either. I do not want to take the risk associated with someone that has HIV or hepatitis. I will not associate with someone that uses drugs illegally.

I am looking for a woman that is financially independent. While I am financially independent many of the women I encounter are not. Sorry but I am not able to improve another persons lifestyle or financial trouble by giving them my money or by somehow using my money to benefit their lives. It seems that all the women I meet or encounter are superficial when it comes to a partner's physical features, are financially needy or somehow not compatible with my illness. Are there any women that are not superficial, not dependent upon men for money and capable of compromise?

I don't get food stamps or an EBT card. I am not collecting Social Security Disability. I am more of a fighter than someone that resigns themselves to being sick or disabled. I work hard to keep my health as good as it can be. I eat healthy foods, I get regular exercise. I am not a complainer or a whiner. I may groan once in a while due to pain. I was very ill at one time - for a few years. I worked hard to improve and dragged myself up from the bottom. I did it without the help of doctors. I did it after doctors led me further and further downhill over a four year period until I was completely disabled and ready to commit suicide. I did it without another human being to assist me. Someone that had the same illness owned a business and hired me to work part time although I truly was not fit to work and could not adequately perform my job duties. It was a terrible struggle for a couple of years and took about five years total to finally feel markedly improved. I don't really see permanent unemployment and SS disability payments as an option for me ever in my life.

I don't know if I would say that I like to cook - I like to eat good food and to do so you must prepare the meals. I can prepare healthy, tasty meals. I have a male friend that says in amazement that I can "take nothing and make it into something!" He refers to the fact that I can make tasty meals out of simple food items. All the women I lived with enjoyed my meals. I have lived with three women in my life. I often prepared meals for the both of us. Years after I broke up with the first lady I lived with she told me that she missed my cooking so much. During the initial trial phase to determine if we were a match, I prepared a salad for the last woman I lived with. She took one bite and her face lit up, her eyes opened wide. She looked at me from across the room and exclaimed "you can stay!"

I like to walk every day and can easily walk two or three miles at a time. I do not walk slowly, I am not crippled. Some of my friends insist that there is nothing wrong with me and point out that they can't keep up with me when we walk together. I also rollerblade and swim when I have access to water. I can be quite happy just staying home with my partner but I do like to get out of the house each day by taking a walk. I prefer to walk in a peaceful place or natural place with trees and or water. If I watch TV I like some nature or science programs, history, storm stories, national geographic and movies. I like foreign films, action, comedy, mystery. On the computer I like reading the news, staying in touch with or exchanging stupid jokes with friends and occasionally watching videos. I have a scientific mind and an interest in science. I like nature, studying animal and human behavior, movies, exploring new foods and cultures, cooking, eating healthy foods. I like the ocean and beaches but not cooking in the sun. I like the beach during the day if I have access to shade. I prefer the ocean and beach in the evening or after dark.

I would be willing to accept a woman that many other men might reject including women that are unattractive, anorexic, overweight, have an unusual shape, exceptionally short, exceptionally tall, burn survivors, scarred, disfigured, women with hair where other women do not have hair, stroke survivors, disabled, crippled, blind, speech challenged, chronically ill, missing a leg(s), missing an arm(s), missing a breast(s), use a walker or wheelchair or somehow "different" than other women. Compatibility, personality and character are far more important to me than a ladies physical characteristics or limitations. I don't mind if you she is younger or older than I am. A few weeks ago I approached a woman that was missing one ear, half of her other ear, part of her jawbone and was partially deaf. Even without the missing parts she was an unattractive woman in many ways although the fact that she was unattractive did not matter to me. I had a pleasant conversation with her for 10 minutes before I introduced the idea that we would have a friendship. Her demeanor changed entirely and she sent me away. I think she was shocked at the idea that someone as average looking as I am would propose such a thing. If you know of or are a woman that is single and might be experiencing the same feelings as I am then please make contact with me.

I am kind, patient, compassionate, laid back, easy going, unassuming, open minded, loving. I have never been arrested, never been in jail or prison, I do not have any kind of criminal background. I plan to keep things that way. I don't drink alcohol, I don't smoke anything, I don't use illegal drugs, the only other drugs I have used over the last 15 years have been antibiotics. I am Caucasian. I was born in the US. I speak more than one language. I am college educated and have an intelligent mind. I don't have HIV, AIDS or hepatitis. I have been tested and have the paperwork to prove it. I would be happy to get tested again. I do not have any mental illness. I am financially independent, I don't need money from a woman or anyone else. I do have good qualities and would be happy to share more about myself in another communication.
