Living the Dream in Paradise (South Sarasota) 58yr
Just an 'Average Joe', searching for an 'Average Jane', that does not reside too far away (maybe a 20 mile radius or less)...

I enjoy working out at the gym...'be-bopping' around the region, listening to my favorite tunes (Country, Classic/Southern RocknRoll, some Jazz, etc.)...exploring new places (beaches, waterways, parks, scenic restaurants/bars along the way)...playing pool/billiards, playing tennis, sand/water volleyball, golf, bowl, mini-golf, snorkeling, maybe a little jet-skiing...bicycling, walking, maybe a little jogging, maybe a little slow-dancing, attending comedy clubs or live concerts/events, watching movies (in theaters or at home), observing all kinds of people (as they stroll around the many specialty shops and malls)...and of course, walking the beaches/coastlines, to view gorgeous sunrises and sunsets...I am mostly a shorts/shirt/T-shirt/sneakers/boat shoes/sandals, casual, easy-going kind of a guy...low maintenance!
I currently live on my own, in a studio apartment. I have been married before, but have no children and no attachments/baggage. I have a few acquaintances around, and a few family members that live in the area; other than that, I am a free-willed individual, that is able to meet another person, become acquaintances, learn more about her (and the chemistry we may have between us) as time passes, possibly becoming true friends, and finding out the new friendship may turn out to be more (evolving into an LTR)...if the acquaintance evolves into just a mutual friendship, then at least we could go out to dinner and a movie, once in a while...
I have observed that Scorpio persons (me) seem to get along best with either Cancer or Pisces persons, in the grand scheme of things...I am interested in meeting a curvy, slightly voluptuous, a few extra pounds to average or weight-height proportionate, average to long-haired blond (or blended color), blue-eyed, intelligent, healthy woman, that has already accumulated the "material things" to live by (a job, a car, housing, finances, other "toys", etc.) and has a good healthy mind, soul and body, and be Caucasian, disease/drug-free, have minimal piercings and tattoos, approximately my age and heterosexual.
CAVEAT 2: I am searching for a woman that is between 56 yo and 66 yo; this age range is mandatory.
Over the past 12 years or so, I have learned to cook (a little breakfast, light lunch, an occasional special supper and some snacks), to cook some BBQ items on the grill, to clean house, to do my own laundry, to keep all my possessions (home, furniture, clothes, belongings, car, etc.) clean, neat and orderly. I am currently "sprucing" up my place now (getting ready to ship a lot of my "extras" to charity)...

Ready To Get Back In The Saddle Again!!! (Bradenton) 51yr
OK.... another one bites the dust.... another one bites the dust... etc. I am not having much luck finding a decent, normal, mature women to get to know better. I have tried this before without success, a little frustrating. Met some nice women, made some new friends, even spent over a year with one trying to work things out, but no "love connection" happened. If it ain't gonna work, it ain't gonna work. So let's try it again! I have only been in Bradenton a few weeks, I re-located from the east coast for a change of scenery. I have also lived in the Destin, FL area but I am originally from the Ozark Hills in SW MO. I would like to meet some new friends and see if a "love connection" happens. I don't know if a "Ozark" boy can make it down here in this climate or not... but I am sure gonna try!
My last few real relationships have been disastrous. As I stated above, the last two disasters were mainly due to "should have been grown" kids in their 30's that can't make it on their own and have to stay under mommy's roof. One of the relationships lasted over a year but due to her 30 year old child (baby huey) that couldn't ween himself off his mother's breast milk I finally got tired of it. Have to change the guidelines a little. My child is grown, so I am not really wanting to hook up with anyone with children living at home, minor or adult. I would rather that none of your children have any drug or alcohol problems that they tend to drag the whole family into their whirlpool of shit and hopefully your children can hold a job and don't treat your house like a revolving door apartment, oh.... and they can keep their own vehicles parked at their own homes. (there is a story behind that one) The relationship before that didn't end much better but lasted nine years. I always give it my best shot, I don't cheat, tried to give them what they need and desired, I am very supportive and try my best to fix all situations to keep the drama at a low tide. I keep trying to believe that I can fix anything but I think I am just fooling myself. Again, as I stated above, "if it ain't gonna work, it just ain't gonna work".
While these situations (I put myself into) has effected my "trust factor" in women... I m not giving up. I was raised in the Ozark country of Missouri (Branson / Table Rock Lake area) and dad always taught me to "pick myself up, dust myself off, then climb back into the saddle" whenever a horse threw me off. He told me, "If they know you're scared, they will chew you up and just throw you off again. The longer you stay off, the harder it is to get back on." Even though I hate to admit it, dad was usually right more than he was wrong. While most people say that I don't look my years, the hard truth is that I am not Brad Pitt in a movie about getting younger as I grow older. I am at the half century mark and it would be nice to find the right woman to be by my side, my partner in life for the duration of whatever life I have left. Let's all face it, no one wants to grow old alone, right???? With that being said, let me tell you a little about myself...
As far as my personal appearance, (my digital camera got lost, stolen, destroyed in the last fiasco of a relationship, sorry. I am working on getting more up to date personal pics to post, these were taken within the last year, though) I am 6'1" and 205 lbs. I have short peppered brown hair, and green eyes. While I don't consider myself a "hunk" or a "pretty boy" or anything like that, I have been told that I "clean up pretty well" and I do know how to carry myself with confidence. I honestly don't think I would be an embarrassment to any woman that was by my side. I am open minded, a good listener, and I still get excited when experiencing or trying new things. In other words, I am not boring and set in my ways. I am not a big drinker at all, but if you like to drink, no problem.... let's just not make it excessive. I love the beach and water, it helps me to relax and to reflect. Oh, I do smoke but with the recent excessive price hike in cigarettes I am determined to at least try to quit. (I always say that....)
I do not have many pre-set qualifications for "the woman of my dreams". It mainly depends on how our personalities work with each other. WARNING!!!!! If you have minor children or "hanger On'er" children, that just can't seem to let you live your own life...or a mother that lives around the corner, or ANYONE that interferes in your life enough to cause aggravation and frustration...I don't need or want it so let's save each other the frustration and aggravation of the drama it causes and just forget about it from the beginning. Other than that I will hopefully be able to find someone between the age of 35 and 55, attractive and not obesely overweight. Needless to say, while I am not an embarrassments to be with, I do expect the same. I do like to spend time at the beach and swimming in a pool so I would like to find a companion that is confident in their appearance and how they look in a bathing suit. Enough said about that.
