Ok, so obviously I have ZERO idea how to write a personal ad. I have sold a car and a piano on CL before, but trying to sell myself is extremely bizarre. I have been divorced for 6 months now, and it was amicable and drama free, but decided to concentrate on other things for awhile other than dating and relationships. Well, now I have reached a point where I would like to meet a woman to share life's many adventures with. I dont have any preconceptions or expectations other than to meet someone smart, funny, and spontaneous and also fun and whimsical who appreciates the little things in life and doesn't take everything so seriously. Obviously lots of things in life require serious attention, but on the other hand, life is too short to not have lots of fun in between the serious bits :)
A little about myself: I am 40, stunningly good looking and drive an Italian sports car (by that I mean I am pretty good looking and drive a Toyota). I am a single dad with a special needs child, so that is a priority and takes up quite a bit of my time. I like to do anything outdoorsy, fishing, hiking, skiing (water and snow), hunting, camping. I also like to garden, read, and am an aficionado of cognac and Cuban cigars. Seeking smart, funny girl with a touch of whimsy (Boise) 39yr
So after sitting at my computer staring at a blank screen for 20 minutes I came to the realization that trying to write a personal ad is very awkward and much more difficult than I thought. I've sold many things on CL, but there is just something plain strange about trying to sell oneself. So that being said, I will keep this short and hopefully somewhat sweet...
First to what I am looking for, my friends seem to think I am too picky, but I dont think my criteria are unreasonable :
1) Female (duh), preferably between the ages of 28-45
2) Intelligent, funny, sarcastic, witty
3) Like my title says, whimsical is a must. If you have lost your sense of awe and wonder and imagination like many "adults", we probably wont get along. I can be serious when I need to be, but life is too short to not have a fun journey.
4) honest...lots of fake people out there, male and female.
5) drama free...ok, we all have drama sometimes, but you know what I mean. some people thrive on drama. I dont.
The list could probably go on, but it is late and that is a good starting point :)
Now I suppose a little about me....I think I pretty much meet the attributes in my own list above, well, minus the female part. I am tired of the dating scene (was divorced over a year ago), so thought this was worth a try. I am not going to try to describe myself physically because it just seems creepy to do so, and if you are interested, we can do the whole picture swapping thang. I will say that I am outrageously good looking....I mean like cover of GQ magazine looks...I was voted the worlds sexiest man 3 years running by the braille institute of America. Ok so maybe I overstated things a bit, like I said it is hard to sell one self, but I have been told by independent sources that I am pretty pleasing on the eyes :)

I crashed on my snowboard in February. It was not epic. I was attempting to get off the chairlift, missed the flat part and had to jump. I managed to do a spread eagle somersault. Trust me, it is hard. Especially at low speeds.
The last time I laughed was today. My dogs were watching me test out the shock mat that (in theory) keeps them from going up stairs) when it started to shock me, my yellow lab started barking. I think he was telling me that I was an idiot and that they knew it was going to shock me. After I pried myself from the mat, I laughed.
I go up to McCall a lot. Right now I go up to play in the snow. In summer, I go up to seek out morels and huckleberries. Or just to wander in the forest.
The last book I read was by Anne Rice and had to do with werewolves. It was horrible. I did not think she could get any more weird, but she did.
I like to spoil my friends and whomever I am dating.
I love to cook. I need more people to cook for as my dogs don't really care what I make. They think all of it is tasty.
I moved in with my Grandmother after my Grandfather passed away. I cook for her, keep her entertained, and make sure she is okay. I also drive for her on occasion. She travels to my relatives every month or so for a while, so I get a lot of time to myself to enjoy her hot tub and gorgeous view.
Someone said I was intelligent once. I think he was drunk.
I think I am funny, but I generally think that only when I am drunk.
I don't like getting drunk.
I can juggle. I can also do an Irish or Scottish accent so perfectly you would have no idea I am an American.
But really, I am Basque.
So....enough of that. What I am looking for is someone that can carry a decent conversation, is healthy both in body and in mind, laughs at life, and doesn't mind me having a few dogs.

I have debated a long time whether to post this or not, but as heading says.......
Will try to make this as descriptive yet short as possible--I have read several desires/wants from female listings, here on Craigs and other profiles and they are always specific----so I will be as well.
DESCRIPTION: 6 foot tall. Blonde hair, 180/190 pounds. Build, muscular.
