What is love anyway? (lovelyville)
You know, I don't really think I remember. It really wasn't that long ago I thought I was in love yet it feels like a life time ago. I keep trying to find someone out there who could remind me of that feeling and show me what I thought I was missing, but all I find is the same'ol thing. It seems you have forgot what love is too! No one seems to care about love or romance, intimacy and passion. Sure people like to have sex, but it rarely has any of those things in it. No matter what I do things just feel hollow and empty, like they have lost their meaning. I really always was a "couple" kinda person. I just enjoy life more with someone. It just seems dating or relationships have nothing to do with love anymore. Where did the romance and passion go? When did the longing for true love die? Is everyone really so shallow that looks, money and social status all that matter? I remember a time when women wanted a man to love her for who she was, but it really seems women can't look deeper than a wallet. It's so sad how so many really good women have given up because of jerk boys trying to play man. It's a shame so many awesome and beautiful women are made to think they are not worthy. Love or romance, intimacy and passion is more than something you can get from someone and more about what you can build with them. I really wish I could find someone to build a life with and enjoy the journey. Sure, life has it's bumps, but what makes life livable is having someone to ride the bad times out with...and even to make the best of the good times. It really is never too late to let go of all you hold in and everything you thought you had to be and start letting yourself be you. It's never too late to reach out and see who is out there and find that other who just understands. You aren't alone. You don't have to feel like the only one out there. All you have to do is take a chance and let yourself have what you want. Some times some things are easier than they seem.
If you are going to write me to tell me how nice what I wrote is but how you are "not what I'm looking for" don't bother. I know you aren't. No one around here is. That is why I wrote this post. To point out what you ARE and to remind you of what you COULD be if you let yourself.
