Thanks for stopping by, here's a little about me. . .
I like to think of myself as an easy going, laid back kind of guy. I love to laugh and have a pretty good sense of humor; I can be a bit sarcastic at times too. I like to think of myself as one of the "good guys" and that I have a lot of the qualities women look for. . . see below!
I have an incredible, almost 3 year old daughter who means the world to me and is a big part of my life. Her mother and I share custody and I have her Wednesday nights and every other weekend.
The past 3 years have been hectic to say the least. I spent the majority of my time focusing on my daughter and doing projects around the house I purchased in '09. Now that my goofball is getting older and the projects around the house are just about completed, I finally have time to myself and hopefully I can meet someone to spend time with, possibly start a relationship and with a little luck, share my life with.
Some of the things I enjoy are spending time with my daughter, anything to do with the outdoors such as camping (something I haven't done in a long time, but plan on taking my daughter this spring when it warms up a bit) fishing, boating, motorcycles, trips to the beach and back yard barbecues. Like most, I enjoy a night out with friends, dinner/drinks, catching a movie, live band or just staying in on a cold night, having dinner and curling up with someone special and watching a movie.
I would like to meet someone that is honest, caring, silly at times, and has a good sense of humor as well; Someone who understands that communication and trust are part of the foundation for a solid relationship. And someone who considers themselves a true romantic and believes that it's the little things in a relationship that are important.
Now on to some of those qualities I mentioned. . .
1. I can fix stuff! Not only can I fix stuff, but I can do so without involving the police, ambulances or insurance companies! Computers, cars, home repairs and especially toddler toys!
2. I can reach stuff that's high and also put the ornament on top of the tree without a ladder!
3. I'm a gentleman. . . with values and morals. I'm also kind, considerate and caring.
4. I'm in the process of raising the most incredible, intelligent, well-mannered, beautiful little girl and I haven't broken her yet!
5. I have never been unfaithful to anyone I've dated and can promise you that you would not be the first.
6. I'm in touch with my feminine side. . . you, me, candles, a hot bubble bath and bottle of wine is the perfect way to spend an evening. Bath toys, including a rubber ducky are optional.
7. I truly believe that the small gestures in a relationship are important. . . (and something I miss)
8. I understand that a relationship is 50/50 and that it requires communication, trust and honesty.
9. I love animals. Right now, I have a 75 gallon fish tank, but I'm looking to get a puppy soon. I'm still unsure which, but it will be either a German Shepherd or Golden Retriever.
10. I can cook! I'm not a chef, but I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes. Again, haven't broken my daughter yet :)
Now on to a not so looked for quality. . . (Hey, no one is perfect)
I smoke. . . never in my home or around my daughter, but yes, I smoke. I would love to quit and have tried, but I guess the timing hasn't been right yet.
Also, I do try to work out regularly. I'm 6'2, 215 lbs and on the athletic/muscular side. I'm not a gym rat or anything like that; I'm just trying to keep myself in a shape other than round. I have a love/hate relationship with the gym, but at this age, it's a necessary evil.
With that being said, there are a few physical features that I tend to find attractive and look for in a woman. In no particular order: Long hair. . . it's something I've always found attractive in a woman and typically notice first; eyes, smile and fitness. . . I do prefer a woman who falls into the slim to average category. More importantly, I'm looking for a woman who has values and morals. Something that's very difficult to find these days. . . in both genders. Whether it's a friendship, dating or a long term relationship, this is something I look for and pride myself in having. And I'll make this really simple. . . if you're the type of person who would cheat on someone you're involved with, rather than being an adult, respecting your partner and ending the relationship, we don't have the same values and morals and simply won't get along.
I'd love to meet someone that I clicked with and is also interested in a long term relationship, but I'm also open to meeting new friends as well.
