It's Hot out...drinks, game of pool? (Saratoga area)

It's just too nice out to be alone if you want company. It's so hard to break through the ice of meeting people you want to know but just don't have chance to meet them. Dark Star Tomorrow?? (Schenectady) 22yr
So I just got home from an amazing festival down near the city where I had such a wonderful time with my friends but can't help but feel as though I am missing something at these events. I love to lose myself in music and just dance like a fool at shows. I would love to find someone who knows what I am talking about and would love to join me on my summer festivals and show trips. I am not some hippie who goes on tour for months at a time or anything like that, I just enjoy the escape and love to get away from work and check out bands and festivals that are feasable. I am not into hard drugs or anything but have had some experiences and understand if you like to open up your mind to new realities from time to time. I am, however, very 420 friendly and enjoy having some drinks in the right situations. I am a very laid back person and am just as happy in a deep conversation as I am sitting in my car blasting and listening to jams by some of my favorite bands such as Phish, Grateful Dead, The Meters, etc. I love all types of jam bands not so much the electronic music but I would check out festivals that aren't too overloaded with DJ's and dubstep as long as they have some good bands playing. First to those of you who keep flagging me, I will continue to repost Nothing I have written or seek is inappropriate, so onto my post:
Does anybody else still believe in the old fashion 1950s style household; where the man takes the lead, provider and protector and the woman follows.
As a housewife of the 1950's you won't be required to hold a job outside the home. In fact you really won't be allowed to because it would be an insult to the male of the family for not being able to provide for his family! Or is that just an old concept that has basically died because of society and economic times? or is it because Culturally such relationships have been under attack in recent decades, but there are still people out there who agree with those traditional values.
If you believe in this style, you know a lot more usually goes along with this type of relationship. As a head of household, yes I am also a Dominant man but That does not mean abusive! In contrast being a submissive (both in and out of the bedroom) in that 50's type household does not mean you cannot share your opinions, voice your concerns and be an equal.
But there are a lot of women out there that insist on doing for themselves and go to the extreme of not even wanting a man to open the door for them. I believe this is why the average man nowadays is afraid to take the lead. They are tired of being beat down for it, but we all have and entitled to our own opinions.

I started reading the book "Spousonomics: Using Economics to Master Love, Marriage, and Dirty Dishes" by Paula Szuchman and Jenny Anderson, and I realized it would be more fun to read it with someone who is interested in establishing a long-term relationship. Most relationships that fail usually do so because of poor communication. Strong relationships endure because of the hard work of honest and candid conversations. Economics is not only about money - it is about making choices. I want to enter into a relationship by being aware of all the "little things" that can ruin a relationship if they are not discussed. Like who does the dishes, takes out the garbage, walks the dog, does the laundry, etc., etc. I have this crazy idea of starting a relationship by having a bookclub for two. Does it seem crazy to you? Maybe so, but we are living in interesting times. I have rewritten this posting, as I have gotten a lot of responses......but I wanted to be more detailed. Hey, I am a confident, clean, hard-working, zero drama guy in the Albany area.
