Lets mend our lives together (Watertown, NY) 31yr
After being single for close to a year now, I need to get my feet wet so to speak and jump back into the dating scene. Is anyone faithful any more? (Fort Drum) 26yr
I'm a single soldier living on Drum. I have a degree in Business Administration. I'm a little under 6' tall and live in the barracks. I've been at Fort Drum for a little less than a year and have realized a few things... 1. Girls around here either love or hate soldiers. They typically love them because someone in their family is/was a soldier. Or 2. They hate soldiers because they have dated 1... or 2 or 3.... and have gotten screwed over, i.e. finding out they are married, getting cheated on, used for sex... etc... whatever the case may be. 3. This area is boring... at least when you're alone. So what does that mean for this post... well... 1. Whether you love or hate soldiers, if you group all of us into one category, particularly if it's bad, simply because you had 1 or 2 bad experiences with a soldier, they you are a small minded person, and ignorant enough to believe that all soldiers are the same. However, if you believe that, I probably wont be hearing from you anyway. I'm a pretty easy going guy, I can find joy in just about anything I do... whether it be going out to a bar, club, movies, walk, go carting, whatever.... I'm cool with it.... I'm just as cool with staying home and cuddling on the couch watching a movie. I'm not hard to please.
Now the downside, and where this title comes from... My last 3 relationships have ended badly... 2 out of the 3 I got cheated on... and the 3rd one there were rumors, but nothing was confirmed. I Do have trust issues because of this. If you're not willing to deal with that... then probably shouldn't respond. I'm not going to Jump into a relationship without some trust being built. I've been single for over a year, and I don't know how to be in a relationship with someone anymore... So I need to ease back into it.
What I'm looking for: Eventually I wont to find someone to be with.. To settle down, get married, have kids... if it happens out of order.... so be it... That is my goal... Do I really think I'm gonna find it on here? Well I guess I have better luck on here than sitting in my barracks room. I'm a very loving person.... I like to cuddle, touch, kiss, make love, etc... I'm not saying we need to get into bed the first night, but I need someone who has a high sex drive. Someone who enjoys making love... and I use that term specifically because I'm not into hard rough passionless sex... I like to look into a woman's eyes, and take our time... It's not a race to the finish line.
What you should be like: Somewhere between the ages of 21 and 35... I say 21 because kinda hard to go out and have a drink with someone who can't get through the door. 35... completely random number and isn't firm... a lot of other factors come into play. You should be SINGLE... This means, Never been married or have a FINALIZED divorce. You can have kids, but with the desire to have at least 1 more. I have no problem being a step dad, I was raised by a man who was not my father. But I do want to have a child that is mine as well. You should have a job. I know being a full time single mother is hard work... But if you're simply looking for someone to support you... that's not gonna happen... not right away anyhow. You should have your own place. If you're in your mid to late 20's and still living at home with mom and dad... how am I supposed to take you serious as a grown woman? I got it, sometimes it makes more sense to live at home and save up money... I've done the college thing... I know student loans are expensive once you tack them on to everything else. But I live in the barracks... Not exactly a good place to hang out, or have a home cooked meal. You should have your own car. If you haven't figured out by now, I'm looking for someone who is an adult, who can take care of herself.

Let me get this out at the beginning. First off I'm a father and if you can't except it, I don't want you. If you're into drugs EVEN WEED, go get stoned someplace else. That shit don't need to be around my child. If you smoke, I won't date you ether. If you don't want a child together, well I want at least one more of my own. Oh and I'm not into a real heavy women. I'll be the judge of that.
I should say a little about me. I am over weight myself but starting to lose some of it. I have blue eyes and buzzed off brown hair. 5'8'' with a few tats, but no piercings. I haven't been with a woman in nearly two years, so if you think I'm easy I'm not. I feel sex should be with someone you love, not just handed out because of temptation. Ok! What do I want from you now I'm done rambling about myself? Like I said you can't be a druggy or smoker. I'm not a big party person so if you love going to the bar every weekend I don't think we'll work out. Having your own car or truck would be nice. Have or looking for a job.You need to want to settle down and want a family. I want a long term relationship. Don't want a woman who's been with a ton of guys. Sorry I'm picky like that. You have to have a sense of humor, clean or dirty. Honesty, loyalty and a sweet side are a must, along with nice teeth. No drawn on eyebrows. Hate women who overdue the makeup. The way I see it is a beautiful woman don't need it. I don't mind some. Like to get dirty/muddy at times. Love girls who like fishing and or hunting. And really this is probably more of a rant then anything.
I have been single for a bit,(5 years). My choice,mostly.
The first couple of years, I needed time to heal and recover.
I was very much in love. The funny thing about getting better from
a divorce or really any emotional trauma, is that there is no set
moment that you know you are ok again.
Now I am happy! fit, fun and all that good stuff we say about our selves.
The best thing I can say about me for dating is, I really respect women and enjoy
their, (I only want 1), company. I want a real true friend, and I will be a real true friend.
My rant?? Well, why do we all make dating and finding a match so hard?
I think one of our problems, as we get older and have been in a relationship
is; we look at ourselves through younger eyes,as I call it. So many people say they look
younger then their age??? HHHMMM? now I do see men and women who do qualify for this.
But most dont. Including myself. I am very fit for my age, very active and upbeat. I dress maybe
more hip or so, not in old man clothes. But also not trying to look 20 either. But I look my age.
I like being me!
What I would like to find?
A lady who is happy, FIT, a girlie girl, faithful and who wants to be treated like a princess. Not in
a weak man way, but in a strong man way. I will want to take you shopping, watch you try stuff on,
go on little weekend get aways, or just an afternoon off somewhere to explore,kiss and hold hands.
NO GAMES no manipulating from her man. If you like need a guy to 'act' a certain way, or treat you bad
then treat you good I am not your dude.
