Problem solving is and it's the single most important attribute that you can bring into a relationship. If you can't work through one simple disagreement, you'll never make it as a couple. You have to be able to sit down eye to eye and discuss your issues until you can reach a solution. Then both people have to keep their word and follow through with their end of the agreement. Those who can't do this usually end up as part of that ugly divorce rate we have in this country!
My favorite things to do as a couple are...
This might sound silly but I really enjoy cooking together! You crank up some tunes, practice a little teamwork in the kitchen and create something tasty to eat for dinner. Sometimes it's fun to come up with new recipes and try different things too! Another thing I love to do is go for long drives, stop at the scenic points and take pictures. I am drawn to the mountains, lakes, rivers and particularly the ocean. You can find new restaurants to eat at along the way and maybe even settle down for the evening at a nice cozy motel. And last but not least, snuggling under the covers and watching movies is high on my list as well! Especially in the winter months. Maybe order a pizza or some Chinese food and make it an all day event!
Here are some additional things about me...
1. I'm faithful. I have never cheated on anyone and I never will.
2. I can be completely goofy at times but I also know when to be serious!
3. I am drug free and I don't have a criminal record.
4. I'm a very warm and affectionate person who loves to cuddle!

I am 23 years old and I've been out of my parents home since before graduation of high school. I had my first job in less than a month after I turned 17 years old. Having to support a child, and a family at the time, at the age of 17 is hard without any support of the parents. Eighteen months after my son was born I found myself alone, taking full responsibility as a mother and a father. When I was a child, I had nothing. I've never been fishing, jet skiing, hunting, and I've been on a boat once in the last 23 years of my life. My son will be six here shortly and I am trying to the best of my ability to give him everything I didn't have. I love hiking, bike riding, and photography. I enjoy playing with numbers. I am trying to better myself by going to school while my son goes to Kindergarten.
I use my iPhone to capture all the memories that I didn't get to have. We love going to Skinner's Butte, Alton Baker, Splash, Island Park, and Thurston Park. We love going to Putter's to play some games and play miniature golf. We love going to Thistle Down Farms during the fall and getting a pumpkin and riding the hayride. Capturing the moments of my son smiling and enjoying father and son time is precious. My son and I live on our own, in our own little home, that we own!!
I am looking forward to hearing from women who are between 21 and 29 (no younger or older please) and who are in good health. I'm newly single and really excited at the possibilities in store for me. It is late tonight and I'm not really keen on meeting ladies at bars, so I figured I'd go through a different source.
I guess I'd have to start with the fact I have two kids. They are 2 and 6 years old and really smart and handsome boys. 6'2" 230 lb. I'm verging on the athletic side of big and powerful. I got in shape recently and it's suiting me nicely.
I cook VERY well. Probably because it was my occupation for so long.

Ok, I am stumped. And this has become my resource or maybe rather my outlet, I don't know. Lately I have been overwhelmed, no consumed with a terrible lonely feeling that at first glance I assumed was simply a need to get laid. I would not do anybody the disservice of insulting their intelligence and saying that I didn't try that route before this one. But the thing is that the problem is simply more than that and it remains. The problem is that I am lonely. And believe me I wish that there were some other way to say it, some other word that could in some way express it yet supplant the power of the word lonely to express a feeling that I am coming to believe all people experience and must be validated. The thing is that I am not a kid anymore and this has come as a great surprise to me. I find that I am no longer satisfied with baseless relationships that diminish with as little thought or effort as they began. I am not such a romantic that I would profess to want a 'soul mate', but I would profess that I want a mate, or at least the prospect of a mate-the thought that the promise and potential for a mate is there if we only see fit to work the challenges together. For the first time in my life, I want to care about another person and not just care about the benefits my life gains from the presence of that person. I want to experience honesty, not the honesty that we use in poesy or prose, the type that says 'I will never cheat on you' or that 'I will tell you the same random truth that I would tell any person who ever had the courage to ask because I have no fear of it so I have no fear of the telling,' but the type of honesty that requires true exploration and is founded more in the internal than the external. And so here lies my dilemma; I have no idea if such a person exists, if another person has ever thought the same thing or even if such a person exists if they were not born into a world that was larger and more sophisticated than my immaturity and have no time for me now. If such a person does exist I would love to talk with them though. Any rate. I hope that somebody reads this, if for no other reason than for my own piece of mind; perhaps you may find it interesting and want to talk further, if so I am here. Maybe it will simply be enlightening and refreshing to know that there is a young man out there who has very human thought and very human struggles, I truly don't know. Are You The One? (W. Eugene) 56yr
Hi my name is Steve. What am I looking for...that's a loaded question? I'll try to answer for those that are willing to read on. I'm 56 years old, divorced since 2005, own my home, have a car and live alone. I share my place with my buddy "Bart" (he's a Dachshund/lab mix and a Heartworm survivor). I'm currently unemployed but, I receive unemployment and am actively seeking work in the Eugene/Springfield area. I lost my job I held for seventeen years and am going through bureaucratic hell to try and either get it back or receive some monetary settlement. The reason for this...I was subjected to some on-the-job traumas and was diagnosed as having PTSD. You're probably thinking "What's up with that"? I assure you I am completely functional (mentally and physically!). What I try not to do is dwell on those traumas and rather deal with everyday life on a day to day basis.
I'm hoping to find someone who is honest, respectful, open-minded, patient, liberal, laugh-out-loud and who also takes life one day at a time. I'm 5'8 and approximately 185lbs. I still have almost all of my hair (it is thinning in the back!) which is a blend of dark and gray. I have all my original teeth! I do smoke cigarettes. I don't do drugs (if you do 420 it's ok). I do not drink (I'm a year plus sober...I do this by choice in regards to my PTSD) but, if you imbibe "socially" I don't mind. I enjoy cooking, great coffee, ice cream (Prince Puckler's or Umpqua), BBQ's, camping, Saturday Market, "putzing" in my garden and yard, live concerts, a variety of musical tastes (country, rock, blues, jazz...I'm very partial to the likes of Lyle Lovett, Mark Knopfler & Dire Straits, The Dead and most other musicians of that era). I enjoy Broadway shows at the Hult, movies, crossword puzzles, shooting pool, darts, board games and lawn bocci ball. I really enjoy playing golf (although if I broke 90 I'd probably faint!). I love the coast and high desert and on occasion I cross country ski. In the fall and winter I do enjoy watching college and pro football on the TV (GO DUCKS!!).
If based on what you've read and are still interested in inquiring further...I'm looking for a LTR with someone whom is between 40 to 60, HWP, disease free, understanding of what I wrote above (in regards to the PTSD) and willing to go slow getting to know each other (not looking for FWB or a quick "roll in the hay") then I'd love to hear back from you! Boredom makes me do crazy things... (Springfield, Oregon) 26yr
When I am bored I tend to do unconventional and crazy things. Not crazy in a weird or dangerous way, but crazy in a "not many people do this" kind of way. One time I was bored and so I decided to get ordained online by the Universal Life Church. So yeah, I am a ordained minister. Another time I got bored and so I decided to look up the children of the late great John Candy on Twitter... and I found his daughter!... and she tweeted me back! Kind of cool in a way... She seems nice... Haven't heard from her in a little while though. I also have about the same number of followers as she does, so I find that a little odd seeing as how she is the offspring of a legendary comedic actor such as John Candy. What else... Hmmmmmm... In college I would get bored and I would go on long walks. I'm not talking a walk around the block or a walk across campus... More like a walk across town... Walks that would last a good three or four hours... and sometimes late at night. On one of these boredom walks I stumbled across Hendricks Park for the first time... I came to this dead end in a Culdesac neighborhood up in the Eugene hills but decided to keep walking anyways as there seemed to be a path behind the barricade... Not to sound corny or anything but as I stepped into the wilderness it was kind of like stepping into Narnia through the wardrobe... One minute I was in a dreary culdesac... The next I was in a beautiful garden... Pretty cool in a way I guess. So yeah, that's what I do when I am bored. Random adventures to anywhere and doing anything with a great group of people is pretty much the best thing in life. That's me in a nutshell I guess. Other than my exploits in boredom I workout 4-5 days a week at Mikilas Boot Camp and am currently in the absolute best shape of my life and I am getting in better and better shape everyday. I am also looking foward to seeing a movie entitled "Safety Not Guaranteed"... Random factoid I guess but I thought I would share anyways... the movie involves time travel to a certain extent and anything involving time travel is good in my book. Okay... Kinda picky...but I am looking for Miss Perfect (Eugene) 21yr
I am pretty new to Eugene and am finally getting acclimated to all the school work so now I have free time and want to find someone cool to hang out with and hopefully go out with. I am hard working and motivated and have big goals for life. Even though I am a hard worker I always have time to hang out with friends and my family. Speaking of family, my family is very important to me and I am definitely a family guy and I am always there for my friends and family. I love sports. That is to say "we are fucking lonely".
Well, not really lonely for after all, we are happy with our selves and like whom we have managed to evolve into, but we do agree that primordially, we are social creatures and it would be fun to share some intimate moments of wonder and recognition with the opposite sex for balance and wholeness. Ce n'est pas comme ça?
