Hi there. So, I've resorted to using something that I use to sell furniture to meet someone. I'm not entirely sure why, but worst case scenario is I've wasted like 10 minutes of my time. Anyway, I should probably say something about me, despite my great ability to go on and on talking without actually saying anything important. So, I'm 27 (as the title reveals, so that was a waste) and I'm a graduate student. I live by myself and have a car and I'm not a convicted felon and nobody's ever taken out a restraining order against me. Physically, I guess I'm pretty average looking. I'm 6' tall and weigh a little more than I should, which I blame a combination of beer and getting older for. I can send you a picture so you be the judge of all that, though I'm a little too shy to post one on here. Also, I have a beard, so beard haters be gone. I think I'm fairly hilarious, though the negative side effect of that is that I will make a joke at any opportunity which makes people think I never take anything seriously. I'm usually pretty quiet and awkward around new people, which I guess sometimes comes across as me not being nice but I guess once you get to know me I open up a bit. For fun I usually hang around with my friends or go out for drinks or watch something really stupid on TV. I can waste hours on end reading wikipedia; I have a pretty solid memory and I'm a sponge for useless information because of this. There are certain words that I can never remember how to spell. Sometimes my train of thought and thereby train of conversation makes no sense. I really like sleeping in and if it was something a normal person could get away doing I would sleep past noon every day. I compensate for life in the real world by drinking a lot of coffee. I enjoy strange and unusual things. I'm usually pretty careful but I can't resist driving fast on straight stretches of road. I have to sleep with a fan on and I'm not certain why this is the case. I devote too much time to thinking about things like self-aware robots and creating a base under the sea where I can live.
If you think that what I said about myself was useless nonsense, you probably shouldn't respond. If you think it told you enough about what you want to know about me, then you should respond. That seems like the simplest way of putting who I'm looking for.

What keeps me looking? Is it really worth the disappointment? 42yr
I look at the post, I wonder, would it be worth the heartache to find someone, get involved, adjust to another partner and probably another family? Who would move? I have kids, you probably have kids, neither will want to leave their schools. What happens when rough times hit and you give up so easily because you just cant deal with the trials and errors of a relationship? What happens ???? Is it worth the heartache to look, answer posts, then never to hear back? Is it worth it to answer an ad and find out she's not beeing totally honest and she's still married just wanting to be rescued, or doesnt describe herself honestly and is a super sized lady? Is it worth it to find a possible match to only get turned down because you arent as tall as she wants? Is it worth it to involve families and then find out she has a mental illness or some terrible skeletons in her closet? Is it worth it to date, get involved in a relationship to only find she's not a match for you in the bedroom due to being inhibited or abused? There are many many more issues with new relationships, is the payoff worth the headaches and issues? We all want perfect, but let's face it, it's tough to find, we will find someone that we will settle for, their issues are tolerable for us because perfect doesnt exist, then to find the one we care for, is it worth the weeds we have to wade through and pluck, the briars and thorns we will get poked with?
