Why do we invest time in this activity called "dating"? What is the meaning of dating a woman or the meaning of dating a man? I think the best starting place to find that answer is within yourself.

For most, dating is an opportunity to get to know someone of interest in a one-on-one setting.. It can be considered intimate, cozy or just more personal. But still, what is the meaning of it all? It's courtship, a modern day mating ritual. That's open for debate, but most folks will tell you that they date with the mindset of possibly getting into a long-term relationship, which may lead to marriage, etc..

With that written, I will venture to state that Dating is a means to finding a long-term relationship with a man or woman. What does it mean to you?
