It's that time of year! That's right - time to get out of the house.....more. The birds are singing, the weather is warming up and the trails are beginning to get drier - at the lower elevations that is.

Don't judge (Alaska)
So here goes.....
A lot of these ads on here say "No BBW's". Which is fine, we all have our personal preferences. But you don't have to add that it is because you take care of yourself or because you lead an active lifestyle.
Personally, I weigh in at 300 lbs. This is not because I am a lazy couch potato living on fast food and sugary delights. I take care of myself. I walk a MINIMUM of 15 miles a week. I also bike for several hours each week. I like to go hiking and climbing for day long (and weekends) when possible. I recently rode in the 60 mile clean air challenge (AND FINISHED)! I don't always ride on the beaten path either. Yes occasionally I can be seen pushing my bike up an extremely steep long hill, but I have also ridden past kids far younger and far skinnier than I.
I like to go out and have fun. I can burn up the dance floor for hours on end and have a ball doing it. As far as diet, I eat better than most people do. Since my child suffers from a large range of food allergies and because I enjoy a healthy diet, most times we eat baked chicken with fresh veggies and fresh fruit. There is no gluten, no wheat, no dairy, no soy, no eggs, and no nuts anywhere in my diet. Our salad dressing is fresh lemon juice with a variety of herbs grown at home.
I own my own house, my own business, a large green house, 7 raised bed garden patches, plus I work outside the home at a regular 9 to 5 job. I am college educated (with 2 degrees), I have a boat (lakes not river), a car, a truck, a motor-home, a snow-machine, a 4-wheeler, and a tractor. Did I also mention that I am a single mom (NO HELP or DRAMA from the daddy)? Being a mom is the highest priority in my life. So I am not skinny, I will probably never be skinny. I have come to terms with my weight even though I am not happy about it. But there are a few things you should know, just because a woman is FAT does not mean that she doesn't care about herself or lead an active lifestyle. My 3 best friends are all size 5 or smaller, and they all exercise less and eat more (and worse) than I do, but they have trouble keeping pace with me too. So don't be so damn quick to judge a book by it's cover, sometimes the story inside is worth reading!
