Things to Ponder (Somewhere in NWA) 44yr
I often wonder what is it that men REALLY want when they decide to put a public ad, whether it be here on CL or on any other site. When they say things like "I'm looking for that special someone", "Seeking a friend", "Searching for my partner", etc, what is the true meaning behind those phrases? I have used the internet in various sites, from paid ones, free ones, seeking Christian men, and even this way in the hopes of meeting a decent man around my age who is really wanting to pursue a friendship with the "LTR" in mind if the chemistry is there. I would love to meet someone that practices what he preaches, that does instead of promising to do and not do, that will cherish me, want to spend time with me, someone who will above all be honest about how he feels and who expects the same.
I get to see lots of couples out there where people simply don't "physically" match - he's handsome and she's not so much, or she's gorgeous and he's not. But they obviously found something in each other that clicked and they are happy that way. I don't consider myself to be a Pamela Anderson or a Halle Berry, but I know that I'm not ugly and I don't look my age and I certainly don't act it either. By this I'm not saying that I'm irresponsible, not at all. I mean that I'm just a happy go camper who loves life (for the most part...lol) and really loves to laugh, make others laugh, and just have a good time. When I say I'm seeking someone with the hopes of a future LTR, I mean that I want to meet someone who is wanting to spend as much quality time with me (not saying 24/7), but as often as allowed. I love to text and keep a silly conversation throughout the day, but I'm not looking for only a text buddy. There's so much that can be misunderstood just by texting and I don't think it's a "healthy" or "true" conversation where you can talk about feelings and such at a deep level. I want to look into my partners eyes when we talk and if the topic gets to be a little too much, I'd like to know that there's someone sitting beside me willing to reach out a hand or an arm to hold me.
I'm not looking for a one night stand, but for a best friend whom I can confide in without reservations or fears of what he'll think of me. Someone that understands I am NOT perfect and don't pretend to be. I have my ups and downs like the guy/gal next door because life is unpredictable. I have suffered a lot of heartache and have been a single mother since I was 21 and have learned to depend on God first, then friends, when I'm feeling blue. I have never had a relationship with my family, other than my two kids, and even though at times it bothers me when I see happy families rubbing their happiness in my face, I've learned to live with the fact that I was not given the best blood family. But I do have friends that have become those parents, sisters, aunts and such and I'm proud to say I'm not totally alone, even when sometimes I feel lonely.
I am not saying that I will find Mr. Right here on CL, but I'm hopeful that someday the right one will come along. I guess I'm just trying to vent, and there's nothing wrong with that.... lol.
I don't smoke and can't really stand smokers because of allergies. I do drink once in a while but I do NOT require a single drop of alcohol to have some decent fun. I am a God fearing Christian woman who tries my best to live life according to His will, though I constantly fail. I enjoy being outdoors in the summer and at times I wish I didn't have to go to work just so that I can be outside doing something fun while the rest of the world works...lol. A woman can dream, right? I enjoy dancing and it's something that has been a part of me for years and just allows me to relax, de-stress, and enjoy myself openly. I can dance pretty much anything, and if I don't know it, I'll learn it if it's something interesting. I learned to fish 3 yrs ago and went camping for the very first time in my life and I really enjoyed it. Would love to do those things more often but my teenager doesn't like camping...lol. I love roller coaster rides, theme parks in general, especially seeing the Christmas lights at Silver Dollar City. I enjoy motorcycle rides (I don't drive the bike, tho) and would love to meet someone who enjoys that kind of activities and is willing to share his world with me.
There's so much more I could share here but it would defeat the purpose of meeting someone with the desire of wanting to get to know me. I just mentioned a few things that I enjoy....some more than others.
But most importantly, I seek the truth, honesty and respect. These are things that are important to any human being, not just me.
Anyway... these are just the things that I ponder about sometimes. If you felt compelled to reply to this ad, please make sure you do NOT smoke, that you are fairly in shape (not necessarily Hulk..lol) but not heavy or too thin, and that you are between the ages of 40-48.
