I doubt most of them even respond to "hotties." I don't want to sound egotistical, but I have had several very attractive girlfriends in my life, and am considered by many to be a pretty decent looking, well kept guy. Now I'm no Brad Pitt, but I'm confident if I were to meet some of these girls in public, I could get at least a few of their numbers. The fact that they won't even say "hi" or "no thanks" shows me that most aren't all that serious about finding someone on there. Getting that email is just a boost for their egos to help them feel better about being single, nothing more. They're too caught up in their fairy tales to realize they aren't going to find their knight in shining armor unless they themselves make an effort to get to know people that are interested in them. I wouldn't recommend that site to any guy looking for a date. It's worthless

No, I'm very kind and respectful, both on POF and in real life. But the truth of the matter is, most women use it (whether admittedly or not) as an ego booster rather than an actual dating site. Sure, they may want to find someone to date, but most on there have no intentions of meeting anyone from there. If they did, they would respond when messaged. Otherwise, all they're doing is judging a book by its cover. Most profiles say something like "I want someone who likes me for me, not my looks, but for who I am." Well, how are we supposed to know "who you are" if you only put 4 sentences in your description and won't respond to anyone? Think about it...

I'm not really good at this type of thing. I'm used to meeting people the old fashioned way; but with my life right now, I haven't had time to do much of anything.
About me: I'm a single mom, I work full time, and I go to school online full time also. I just got out of the Army after 6 years. I am a campaign veteran so if that intimidates you then don't bother messaging me. I am not a super model, but I'm not obese. I'm 5'4, black hair, brown eyes, 165lbs, caucasian. If smoking bothers you, then don't bother messaging me because I'm not quitting anytime soon. I don't smoke in the car when my kid is in there and I never smoke in my house. I love rock music...There's not a day that goes by that I don't listen to it. It's part of my life. I'm going to the Theory of a Deadman concert in May and it'd be nice to have someone to go with that likes the same kind of music I do. I try to stay drama free. I have better things to do. The most important thing is: I will not ditch my son to go drinking or anything like that. If you don't want to spend time with my son, then you're not worth my time. Sure, we can plan a night out and I can find a sitter, but it won't happen all the time.
What I'm looking for....This is the hardest part because I've been told I'm picky. I want a guy that's taller than me, realatively in shape. Not that I have anything against fat people, it's just if you're overweight it shows you don't like to take care of yourself. You must have all your teeth and they shouldn't be yellow or brown. I want a guy with thick spikey hair. It's just a big turn on for me. I must be physically and emotionally attracted to you. I tried dating a guy based on his personality only, but when it came to anything physical, I wanted nothing to do with him. In the end it didn't work and I ended up hurting him. I won't go through that again.

second time around 30yr
I am a single mother of one son i work very hard to raise him we have all our needs and some of our wants. Like everyone i have chosen bad things but at this point i truely wouldnt change much. I have been and seen things that some people will only dream of and i am very greatfuly for this and will make sure my son will have a better chance then what i started out with. That being said, i still am missing that one person in my life. You know the one person that even if your so made at them you cant stop thinking about them. The one person you never have to hide the real you too.
ME: I am a laid back person i try hard to not let the little things get in the way, You will always see me smile everyday, Im not very good with anything that has to do with technology and not much of a gammer ( im old school give me some pac man lol) but i love to watch other people play as long as they dont mind talking and dont shut people out when they are playing, even though i was born in a city i grew up in a small town so i like to be out side no shoes enjoying the sun (love fishing Hate cleanning the fish), even though im a homebody i still like to go out now and then (movies, dinner, a walk around the park etc...) Im not a smoker (Dont Like It), Not much of a drinker but will have a drink now and then (Bottom of the beral ice cold Bud Light is nice) i do however throw back and let my hair down when i go home for a visit which is not very offten, Im a horrible speller and horrible with math, i am over wieght like most of America i could loose a good 45 #s so i guess that would put me in the bbw secetion but i say im sexy. my job keeps me moving everymoment and i work 8-12hrs aday some days 16hrs. I am a Semi~simple Woman who was born in Germany. Grew up in Kansas and lived in NC for 20 years.
I moved back to OZ in July 09. I am 5'4" on a good day or when I wear boots/ heels.

I love gardening this time of year. I seem to go roaming, finding little Garden shanty's and dream of a garden that people would want to stop and smell the roses. I try to spend an afternoon a week with my parents. I am looking forward to enjoy siting by my Brother's campfire / fishing and camping on some summer weekends at Santa Fe Lake. I like to roam to farmer's markets and small towns events. I love college basketball. GO KU Jayhawks* and NC Hurricane hockey, a few Pro teams. Would love to see the Wichita Thunder game before their season is over. Plus I enjoy Nascar. I won't eat, sleep and chat about it all the time. Well I MIGHT, if there was a good wreck.
This is the part that throws people. I was raised to still respect the "Woman's Place " in life. I am smart enough to not get ran over but kind enough to care for a Man's feelings. I have been called Eccentric. A True Old Fashion Woman at heart. Loyal, Romantic, spirited, a walking human society.
