Hello!
I am looking for a wonderfully nice and nerdy guy to take over the world with. Or change the world with. We can decide that later, I guess. Haha. I'll be 22 this month and I'm sort of short and curvy. Really dig taking in theater, writing, visiting interesting places and having deep conversations about everything worth having deep conversations about. Books are a passion including authors like Stephen King, Simon R. Green, Jim Butcher and the list goes on. Movies are great too- think The Others, Princess Bride, Batman and Tangled just to name a few. When it comes to music, as long as it doesn't have twang, someone calling someone a B or too much unnecessary screaming, I'm down. The outdoors are a favorite but I'm not super outdoorsy like some of these Central Oregon girls so if you are an avid mountain climber or cross country skier...you won't find an activity partner in me.
My hope is to find an intelligent individual somewhere around my age who enjoys travel, culture and nice/interesting cuisine (and no! I don't need a meal ticket!)- but hasn't lost their youthful yearn for adventure or that joy that comes from learning/experiencing something new about the world. I adore men considered "nerds" and "nice guys". Certainly not one of those silly girls looking for a "bad boy". Nice doesn't have to be boring but I'm definitely looking for someone that believes in treating others how they want to be treated. Not cool with anyone that is a smoker, chewer, heavy drinker, druggie, or stoner. Not being a bean pole myself, I find I am most attracted to men with a more teddy bear like physique though as long as we connect mentally, I am open to everyone.
The only way to explain me is to say that I am an old fashioned gal with a feminist streak who likes to be treated like a lady and an equal- and I will treat you like a man and my equal. I can be a bit to handle but I'm charming, I promise, so it won't be too hard. I will listen when your day sucks or is fantastic, I'll smile and make you smile, and I'll be a little stubborn because I know you don't like pushovers. There is a good chance that I'll laugh until I cry now and then, blush when I hear a compliment and demand that we pull over and find that lost dogs home. Likewise, I hope you'll be willing to offer an ear, or a shoulder from time to time, share in the laughter (or create it), throw in your wit, as well as what's on (and in) your mind. Chuck the first snowball in the battle, whisper that hilarious albeit a bit off-color joke, and bring up those deep and philosophical quandaries that bother you late at night.

BBW tired of one time things (Bend) 20yr

Introverted follower of Christ seeks friend first (CO) 32yr
So, I'm complicated. I've got baggage like everybody else, but I know what my baggage consists of and at least have the attention span to be able to work on it. But the most annoying thing about me seems to be that I think. I think a lot. If you don't like thinkers, people who question, seek and analyze, then I'm not going to be of interest to you. I said I am seeking a friend. Of course, I am in the relationship section, so that's not the whole story. But I don't believe that two people who can't be friends can be anything more than friends, so that's where it starts.
I don't drink, I don't use drugs, I am a homeowner, and I have a pretty stable life. I don't have children. I don't have a crazy ex who is going to try to beat up the first man who steps on my property. I can be exceedingly serious, but I'm told I have a great sense of humor. I don't need someone to take care of me, but I would like to have someone who gets me, which is a complex task because I am a little different. Here's what I mean if we want to go the conventional route: I have an IQ around 140, an INFJ personality type, and use both sides of my brain fairly equally. In other words, I am highly analytical, I'm prone to fixate on improving the human condition, and I can be either very creative or very conventional while talking about the same subject. I'm also very old-fashioned in some regards. For instance, I still believe in cooking, cleaning and doing laundry for a partner. I've also been described as emotive, empathic, and quirky, and have been told by more than one person that I am extremely introspective. The way I see it, if I can't figure myself out in this lifetime, I am highly unlikely to figure anything else out.
I love the outdoors. I enjoy hiking, gardening, and other outdoor activities. I write a lot. I sing and play native flute, and also play guitar rather poorly, but still, I try. I build things and remodel things. I'm very active most of the time, and I don't sit still very easily unless my brain is working on something. I despise video games, and am not big on TV or movies, though I can and will watch them once in a while. I eat healthy and lean towards not eating meat often and probably will cut it out of the diet here again really soon.
What I want in the big picture is actually a husband. Granted, that's not going to happen overnight, but I say this to indicate that as the above might have already shown, I'm not interested in playing around, I don't do casual sex, and I'm not the type to just go with the flow and not inquire about what is happening around me.
I am probably most attracted to cowboys. I can't deal with a couch potato, a drunk, or pot smoking. I also can't deal with serious anger issues. I want a man who knows his limitations and has been kicked around enough to have some humility. Fast cars and flashiness are not my style. I also can't deal with people who cannot respect boundaries. Money isn't an issue for me. Given my personality type, I am more attracted to people who do things that are meaningful in the grand scheme of things, and are fulfilled by these endeavors. Looks aren't really an issue for me, either. I've found that I am entirely capable of loving a person for who they are and not what they look like.
I'm an extremely warm person. I tend to attract a lot of people because of that. Unfortunately, most of what I tend to attract are people with values that run counter to my own, people who are in love with money, people who put their self-worth into the size of their biceps, people who think they have things figured out when they clearly do not and become stuck in one place for years, etc. I am a seeker and a grower. I don't stagnate and can't be around others who do; it's counterproductive toward my goals in life which consist of unraveling a lot of mystery, seeking everlasting peace, loving every person, etc.
So, if you have read all of this and haven't decided that I'm not your type of human being, please tell me about yourself. I'll forewarn, however, emails will be the beginning. I've never done this before and I'm going to be very cautious.

Some of the things that I enjoy doing most are: Travel. I LOVE to travel! Near, far, and everything in between. I like everything from day trips to weekend getaways to week long vacations. I enjoy warm, tropical places, historical places, places with amazing scenery, places that are culturally different, and even fun places like Vegas or Disneyland! My most favorite place to be though is the coast. I LOVE the ocean. I love the beach and I love going out to do some fishing and/or crabbing. I've never been clamming though and would enjoy trying that sometime! That brought up the fact that I enjoy fishing. I enjoy fishing in the ocean the most but enjoy fishing in lakes and river/streams too. I even bait my own hook! lol I also enjoy reading, camping, boating, racquetball, scuba diving, art, photography, rafting, geocaching, movies, live theater (plays, shows, and comedy clubs), outdoor festivals and Saturday market type events where there are booths to peruse. I enjoy having friends and/or family over for backyard BBQ's or dinner parties in the colder months. I also enjoy curling up on the couch with my special someone and a bowl of popcorn to watch a movie. I also enjoy doing puzzles and playing games or cards. There are many, many more things that I enjoy doing but that gives you an idea :)

For reasons I don't fully understand I have not been living life to its fullest, but I'm awake now and I have a lot of catching up to do. A little about me...
I am fun, adventurous, sarcastic, quick witted, a complete smart-ass,and over-all a down to earth, fun-loving person to be around. I've been told that I'm very entertaining and easy to get along with. And I'm generally a very happy, optimistic woman.
I think I'm pretty low-maintenance as far as personalities go. I'm not demanding, argumentative, or clingy. I am very loving, loyal (cheating is mean), playful by nature, attentive and much better than your average retriever...not mention better company. I enjoy caring for others and doing little things for my guy to let him know that I care and appreciate him. I love kids and animals (not always in that order) and have both, and I don't mind if you have either.
I grew up in the country, and love everything that lifestyle brings with it. And I've never been one to shy away from hard work, or getting dirty. I prefer wearing my boots n jeans to a dress, although I have been caught all dressed up n girly every once in a while.:) When I'm at home you can usually find me in the kitchen cookin up somethin yummy, or playing with my kids. If I'm not at home I can be found at the barn with the horses, or out exploring someplace new. I have great fun goin shootin, camping, fishing, riding BBQing with family and friends as well as cuddlin up in front of the fire to watch a good movie. I love country music (some others as well) & sing my little heart out when no one's listening.
I have always tended to have fairly traditional gender roles and values. It's just the way I was brought up. I find a hard working, chivalrous man is very sexy. Respect is another quality that will take a man far in my book. As will patience, I have 3 children and the two tend to go hand in hand (or at least should). A good sense of humor is important, you've gotta be able to laugh at life sometimes. Some of the other things that I look for in a man are honesty, loyalty and the ability to communicate. Ultimately I would like to find a good man to share life, love and laughter with.
