I do have a stubborn personality and tend to want to work through problems when others have given up. However, I WILL NOT tolerate cheating of any sort. I have never cheated and I expect the same respect in a partner. I smoke, have tattoos, and drink casually. Night is my favorite time of day and I LOVE bonfires.
I may be country, but I am not a redneck. You can take that elsewhere. I can ride a bronc in the morning and have the class to dine out in the evening.
Fair warning, no cheesy pick up lines that I know are lies. I'll shut you down in a heartbeat and move on just as fast. A little about me...I'm 24 years old, work full time, and might go back to school in the near future. All the people around here are not what I'm looking for so I doubt this will work. I like country music mostly but listen to other stuff too. If you watch sports press the back button now I hate watching sports and won't ever put up with the bs that comes with being with a sports freak. Are you, like me, so disenchanted with the people you've dated that you're reading Craigslist to be further convinced that the entire Earth is populated by people who are either uninteresting or completely nuts (with a few other unfavorable characteristics in between)?
That's where I'm at: only two clicks away from finding my companion at Petfinder.com
I suppose this isn't an ad so much as a rant, because I don't think the person I'd like to date exists.
He's confident in himself and his abilities, but has a sense of humility. He is upbeat, happy -- silly even -- and likes to be playful, but can be serious when it's merited. He is passionate about something. . .even better if it's something we have in common so our shared enthusiasm is amplified. He loves visiting the city, but prefers to live in the country, or at least -- a smaller town. That way he can be closer to his playground: the rivers, lakes and woods. He's not bigoted or misogynist, has no hang-ups and is totally comfortable with the idea of dating someone who could beat him at arm wrestling, even if he is taller than her (he might be letting her win, but she'll never know -- it's the thought that counts). Perhaps I should just adjust my expectations: accept mediocrity. Or, just get a few cats and call it a day?
