Can Anyone Relate (South Bay)
I grew up rebelious as hell, always had friends around, was the life of the party sorta speak. My house was where everyone would just stop in have a few drinks, end up hanging out and before I knew it, a BBQ with friends movies, or whatever was taking place. As time has gone on and people moved away for different reasons, and I came to somewhat grow up and become what was "expected" of me, I look around and I am not the "Happy go lucky live by the moment" person that I enjoy being! I'm now home owner, beautiful home at that, with a great career and endless opportunities a classic car, a nice truck, no debt. other than a morgage and day to day living. Here is where i am going to sound "crazy" I have an emptiness inside of me that "NOTHING" can fullfill,for the first time in my life I fill alone, a completely emptiness, "no one" in my life, to share what little success I have.
No success in the dating dept. I recently met and dated a woman who turned out to be a substance abuser, (AA) and addmitted that she does not want to work, but wanted me to take care of her financially, as much as she was a "fun" and when she was "sober" she was awsome, to the point of being what I would want in my future life partner. I obviously had to remove myself from that situation. She tried to sell me on, IF I really luved her, I would "want" to help her financially, BUT, she was not doing much to help herself, and that is where I said NO, I would have been a little more open to the idea, IF she was atleast TRYING! Her family owns a restraunt, so she works it here and there when she "needs" to and thats how she survives in the moment. THEN, she did the one thing I asked her NEVER to do, and met someone in my work place and started a relationship with them. So, with that said, I have nothing to do with her anymore, she has NO boundries, still calls me at all hours ALL THE TIME! I have since blocked her number, and yet have to see the new woman in her life at work.
So, I am sitting here today wondering why my life has taken such a drastic turn, I felt more complete having less (material) and more friends and luve. I am not understanding this at all. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I have a lot financially, I have worked HARD for what Ido have and have been blessed to create this environment for myself,BUT at what price?
I just needed to talk, and since, I have no one at this point in my life, here I am. I am prepared for any hard truths, and critical feedback I may or may not receive.
