We really need to get better at this 27yr
The way women have been representing themselves on Craigslist lately is appalling! There is so much discrimination and pure ugliness (as far as words are concerned) on here that I highly doubt anyone is going to find what they are looking for. I know we want to blame men for coming through and ruining this for us... And trust me they have done their fair share of damage... But when are we going to start holding ourselves accountable for some of the hate that we are spewing? All of this femme/butch nonsense is over the top... re: what does the average "butch" consider femme
1. There is no such thing as "the average butch." We are all individual people with different opinions and desires.
2. It doesn't matter how this mythical average butch, if such a thing existed, would define anything.
3. You get to define yourself. If you identify as a femme, congratulations, you are a femme. Your welcome packet is in the mail. Careful when you open the envelope because some glitter may spill out.
4. If someone gives you shit for how you define yourself or for not meeting their standards for something, that person isn't for you romantically, and probably isn't the best friend material either.

Ok, to the person who just flagged my post, I am not a spammer, ad poster upper, or weirdo on here just posting to play games.
I was honest and genuine about meeting up with someone, just a nice girl trying to ask another nice girl to go out.
So, I will try to post this again in hopes that someone will see it and have the same idea that i do.
This is my idea:
we meet up somewhere after work / school / whatever your day to day looks like for a beer / coffee / dinner / a movie (i still haven't seen the avengers and it will be at the $5 blue light cinema soon). we can do it cheap. we could go bowling and eat chicken wings, we can go for a hike and eat carrots, we could do whatever.

it doesn't have to lead to anything. we're just going out on a date, getting to know someone knew. maybe we'll have things in common, maybe we'll have nothing in common in which case it would make for a hilarious story. we'll tell it countless time to our friends and it will start something like this, "remember that craigslist add date?"
3 years from now, maybe it will sound something like this, "how did you 2 meet?" "i just wanted to go out on a date, i looked on CL because that is where i got everything else i have, and this is who showed up, the most amazing person i ever met, ever" how cute is that.

I like women's events from bars to outings to political fundraisers. I don't have any socializing, partying, activity buddies anymore. I suppose once one hits their 40s, women run to nest or move out of state, or are too tired from their jobs. I want to be more active and get more exercise. I have a lot of interests, but seek a pal or two to pursue them and laugh along the way. I have a bicycle, backpack, GPS, need to get a little more fit, like to shop when I'm inspired by a look, a product, or I need something. This is not necessarily a dating ad, but I'm single. What I think would be better for me is to meet one or two women like me, would love to have a pal or two to check out events and or go out to a club to dance, drink and socialize. I'd throw a bottle o' wine and some Cowgirl Creamery cheese in a backpack with crackers or a baguette, a pear and a persimmon and I'm out the door. I like to hang out in museums (I go frequently, have memberships). I enjoy the arts. FRAMELINE, sf film festival, indie theater. Political Speakers. Literary Events. I like highbrow bohemian. ... love to discuss world issues, and discovering new things (conversationally, by visiting places, and by being out doing . . .) I love to dance. I like connecting to others. I'm open to taking a class on something esoteric or something simple, like beginners yoga or baking and metalwork. I often imagine how one day I would meet someone randomly on the streets of San Francisco, I am not much of a story teller but here goes .....I would randomly taking muni on a nice sunny day, as I stand I stare blankly outside as the bus drives down the street. We get immersed in our conversation that I almost forgot to get off my stop and when I did I look behind to find her right behind me. "oh hey....this is your stop too?" she replies "yeah..." and smiles ..... "I know this is really sudden, and I dont wanna seem like a weirdo...but...would you like to have a cup of coffee at peetes or something?"....she hesitantly replied "I really want to, but I need to meet up a friend...but here let me give you my number and we can maybe have dinner some time." ...."Oh!..ok!" I answered with excitement and a goofy big smile on my face as she takes my hand and writes her number on the inside of my palm. As she finished she looks up and gives me the sweetest smile and tells me to call her now. I stumble to get my phone as I cant keep my eyes off her and calls her. "Now I have your number! Dont forget to call me ya?" "Oh dont worry how can I forget to call a beautiful woman?" and before I could realize what just slipped out of my mouth she lets of a shy laugh, and I looks down on the ground feeling the heat of embarrassment rising to my face and apologizes. "Its fine I think you're cute, but I gotta get going for now talk to you soon." and walks off. I turn slides my hands in my pockets and walks in the opposite direction, and not even 5 mins I received a text from her, "hey there cutie, lets have dinner saturday."
That is what I imagine how I would meet a girl =P ... I really dont know what to say in these type of stuff... I've recently started liking men more.
